Education in Liberia is free for primary students attending a government school, but most of these schools lack adequate learning facilities. Most parents prefer sending their kids to private schools, which are often very expensive for the average Liberian.

Given the importance of education for shaping the Liberian society of tomorrow, our No Child Left Behind in Liberia is set on the practice of educating children at an orphanage or rural community that isn’t part of the public schooling system. This is carried out by a teacher in person.

Liberia Literary Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization registered in the state of Minnesota, USA. Our mission is to provide resources to preserve Liberia’s literary works, advance girls’ education and youth development, and give children access to quality education, one of today’s most urgent priorities.

If you would like to join us in impacting the education crisis in Liberia, our team is ready to discuss strategies to optimize your charitable giving goals, whether through donations of books, teaching supplies, school supplies, or donations toward teachers’ salaries. Your donations mean helping a child suffering from no or low-quality teaching and learning, especially those living in rural communities or an orphanage without access to updated primary education. Our mission is to improve access to up-to-date primary education.
